Kita Deep Drawn Shells

We are offering handpan raw shell, Nitraded Shell, Stainless Steel Shell and also Shaped Shell in the scale of your choice.
The shells specifications are:
- Tuning ring diameter: 530mm
- Height: 130mm
- Flange width: 9mm
- Min Shell thickness: 0.9mm
- Max Shell thickness: 1.0mm
Nitrating Process
Unlike many other makers, we use plasma Nitrating process which is more expensive than gas nitrating and creates much more uniform layer of Nitrate on the metal surface so that the surface properties stay the same across the shells. There is also a post oxidation process following to the nitrating, giving the surface the mat black color and making it more corrosion resistance.

Shaped shells: we can provide makers with shaped shells based on the required scales. All the shells are deep drawn with our press machine and Nitraded using plasma nitrating process.
